The aim of the UT Asia Center is to develop and support teaching, research and cooperation in the fields related to Asia and the Middle East. We support existing research and study related projects at the university and help to create new opportunities. For example, we actively promote Asian and Middle Eastern Language Study programmes and a new Master's Programme in Contemporary Asia and Middle East Studies, launch and develop intensive courses, modules, summer schools, lecture series and collaborative projects related to Asia and/or Middle East dimensions. We do it together with local and international experts, scholars, policymakers.
Should you be interested in „Asian“ dimension, the Center will assist in finding partners in the respective country or region, advice on funding opportunities, introduce peculiarities of one or another Asian and Middle Eastern language, culture and society. The variety of disciplines is not limited, our networks expand from information technology, biotechnology and medicine to international relations, economic impact, human rights and social justice.
