The Asia Centre aims to support the understanding of Asian and Middle Eastern cultures and political trends in Estonia, and to explore how these developments can contribute to the country’s economic and social potential. The Centre conducts research on Asia-related topics with the goal of providing the academic community, policymakers, analysts, and the general public with accurate and independent analysis.

RESEARCH DIRECTIONS

The University of Tartu Asia Centre’s research focuses on regions across Asia and the Middle East, addressing timely and significant issues in each area. All research directions are supported by dedicated projects.
