Academic links between Estonia and Japan – the 20th anniversary of cooperation between ETAG and JSPS

The Estonian Recearch Council (ETAG) together with the Japanese Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) Stockholm office and the Embassy of Japan will organise a joint seminar on 18 May at 10:3016:00 at the premises of Tallinn University to celebrate the 20th anniversary of cooperation. Elo Süld, head of the Asia Centre, will provide an overview of Japan related research at University of Tartu, 

The aim of the joint seminar is to share the experiences of the grantees, to give an overview of Japan-related cooperation and to introduce the activities of the JSPS Stockholm Office. Prof. Hiromi Komori from Waseda University in Japan is presenting her research done on Estonia.

The event will be held in English and everyone who is interested in research cooperation with Japan is invited to participate. Researchers and doctoral students who wish to apply for a JSPS postdoctoral fellowship in the future are especially welcome.
