Guest lecture by professor Takahara on “Japan-China relations in the geopolitical context of the war in Ukraine”

The University of Tartu and the Embassy of Japan in Estonia invite everyone to an online lecture “Japan-China relations in the geopolitical context of the war in Ukraine” by Professor Akio Takahara on 12 September at 14:15–15:45 (EEST). Akio Takahara is Professor of Contemporary Chinese Politics at the Graduate School of Law and Politics and the Graduate School of Public Policy (GraSPP) at the University of Tokyo. The event will be moderated by Ene Selart, Coordinator of Japanese Affairs at the University of Tartu Asia Centre.

Pre-registration is needed to participate. To do that, please fill in the registration form by 11 September. On the morning of 12 September, participants will receive an email with a link to the online event. If you have questions, please contact the Japanese Embassy at culture@ti.mofa.go.jp.

Participants will be asked to fill in a short feedback questionnaire after the event.
