26.–30. november 2019 toimub Aasia keskuse eestvedamisel rahvusvaheline töötuba „Väärikus ja ühiskond - transdistsiplinaarsed perspektiivid“
Interdistsiplinaarses õpikojas arutatakse inimkonda ja selle väärtusi erinevatest vaatenurkadest: humanitaarteadused, sotsiaalteadused, meditsiin, tehnoloogia ja keskkond.
Töötubade päevad on kodeeritud erinevate teemadega, mis on inspireeritud inimkonnast ja selle ümber. Eesti teadlaste kõrval esinevad Vietnami teadlaste ettekanded ja võimalus kuulda Vietnami vaatenurka.
Töötuba hõlmab seminari teadusartikli kirjutamise kohta ja tagasilükatud artiklite juhtumianalüüsi. Töötoas on oodatud osalema doktorandid kõigilt erialadelt. Üritus koosneb erinevatest seminaridest, väliskülaliste ettekannetest ning teemakohastest aruteludest.

Töötoa korraldajad on Tartu Ülikooli Aasia Keskus ja Kultuuriteaduste ja kunstide doktorikool. Kaaskorraldajad on majandusteaduse ja innovatsiooni doktorikool; käitumis-, sotsiaal- ja terviseteaduste doktorikool; maateaduste ja ökoloogia doktorikool; funktsionaalsete materjalide ja tehnoloogiate doktorikool; kliinilise meditsiini doktorikool. Samuti panustavad üritusse kultuuriuuringute instituut, õigusteaduskond, majandusteaduskond ja füüsika instituut. Üritust rahastab Tartu Ülikooli ASTRA projekt PER ASPERA (Euroopa Regionaalarengu Fond.
